August 10 was our annual outdoor worship service at James Knox Park in Knoxville, 3 blocks north of the church building. We met in the small shelter next to Newman Schoolhouse and enjoyed a continental breakfast while contemplating Pastor Phyllis' message.

WOW 2014 VBS....Imagine and Build with God, a Workshop Of Wonders

2014 Vacation Bible School took on an expanded format this year. We Partnered with our friends at First Christian and First United Methodist, and offered programming in the morning and evening for children as well as an adult class and class for junior high age in the evening session.

The theme "Workshop of Wonders, Imagine and Build with God " provided the basis for hands on work projects as well as time to explore the wonders wrought from a journey of faith.

November 2014
Grace and Peace to you,

The Session has selected November as Tithing Month; during this month, the church will give 10% of its offering to a local charity or mission. This is also the time of year when each member has the opportunity to consider their giving to the church.
Here are some quotes about giving:
Mother Teresa said this: “It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”
Winston Churchill said this: “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”
