Stone Soup

We served Stone Soup again this year on Saturdays during the Knox County Scenic Drive Fall Festival, the first two full weekends in October.

Thanks to our volunteers and our wonderful patrons nearly $1600 was raised in 2011. One half of the funds will go to support the mission projects of the PCUSA and the remaining half will be added to our organ restoration fund.

Ring Praise Music Ministry Concert

It was great to host this concert. Check out photos of our July 25, 2011 event at www.RingPraiseMinistry.org

November was Tithing Month

The traditional of our congregation is to ask our members to try and meet the personal challenge of tithing, to give ten percent.

In setting this challenge, our session designates 10% of the congregational receipts for the month of November to be given away to an extra budget mission project. $258.40 was the tithing amount for 2011, to be distributed in 2012.

Our members have many stories to share about their personal experiences and spiritual growth which have evolved through this annual project.

Grace and Peace to you,
In a couple of weeks we’ll celebrate Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day is a special day when we tell friends, family members, and sweethearts how much we love them. Some people do that by sending Valentine cards. Others may send a box of candy, or flowers. Here’s a story about a woman who didn’t get the gift she expected.

Food Pantry Appeal

Food Pantry

We support the local mission of the Knoxville Council of Churches Food Pantry. The distribution facility is located at the Knoxville Methodist Church, 303 S Broad Street in Knoxville. Call 309 289-6311 for more information.

The council will soon be collecting for the annual Chirstmas Food Basket project. Linda Palmer and Jane Smith are co-chairing the drive this year.
